If you registered a new domain name through DiscountASP.NET, do not respond to any domain renewal notices, invoices, or correspondence sent to you via postal mail.

Unfortunately, there are unscrupulous domain registrars that prey on innocent domain name owners and send official-looking domain renewal notices and/or invoices. If you fill out these forms you are agreeing to pay them for domain fees, and you are also agreeing to transfer your domain to their domain registry. Typically these companies charge very high fees for domain registration and make it very difficult for you to transfer your domain away from them.

Please disregard any mail received through postal mail regarding domain renewals, as our Domain Registrar partner, OpenSRS/Tucows, does not send any postal mail for domain renewal.

If you did not register your domain name through DiscountASP.NET, renewal notices sent through postal mail may not be junk mail. Some domain registrars still handle domain name renewals via email. Therefore, make sure to maintain up-to-date contact information with them. If in doubt, contact your domain registrar for clarification on how their domain renewal process works.
