An Affiliate Sale is a sale that signs up for hosting service at DiscountASP.NET either via an affiliate banner, text link, or text ad provided in the Affiliate Control Panel, or by entering the Affiliate ID in the DiscountASP.NET order form during the account sign up process.

Receiving affiliate credit for your personal hosting accounts

You will receive credit for opening accounts for your personal use as long as you use your affiliate ID during sign up.

Using your Affiliate Link/ID in mass email

We do not allow our affiliates to create, publish, transmit, or distribute, under any circumstances, any bulk electronic mail messages that would be considered "spam."

This policy also includes spamming blogs, online forums, or newsgroups. Any affiliate that uses these methods will be deemed in material breach of the Affiliate Agreement, forfeiting any and all rights and claims to any commissions.

Previous accounts cannot be considered for affiliate credit

The DiscountASP.NET Affiliate Program will only consider accounts that were opened after you have joined the Affiliate Program as eligible for affiliate credit.

Marketing material for use with the Affiliate Program

In the Affiliate Manager you will find a "Creative" tab. Under this tab are various banners and banner sizes, as well as text links and ads for your Affiliate Marketing.

We recommend that you review your banners regularly as the creative within the Affiliate Manager will be updated regularly as new offers and technologies are introduced by DiscountASP.NET.

How to start making sales

When you sign up for the program you will have access to a number of banner ads, text ads, and text links. With each ad type you will have a link labeled "view sample code." When you select this link, a pop up window will open providing an example of the ad as well as the needed HTML to place the ad on your site.

Any time someone uses your links or ads to open a new hosting account you are credited with that sale, provided that the new account is eligible for credit as per our terms of service.

You can also just provide your Affiliate ID to anyone you wish to refer. When they sign up for hosting at DiscountASP.NET, they will be presented with a field to enter your Affiliate ID. Again, providing that the account is eligible for credit, the new account will be credited to your affiliate account once the sign up is completed.

How to see your sales

All sales made using your Affiliate ID or from clicks on your affiliate ads can be viewed in your Affiliate Manager.

Log in to your Affiliate manager and select the "Reports" tab at the top of the page. On the "Reports" screen, select the button labeled "Sales." This page will show your current month sales.

To view previous month sales you can change the dates at the top of the page, then select the link "View Selected Date Range."

What "Ineligible" and "Eligible" mean on the sales report

Each sale within the sales report will be one of two statuses; "Eligible" or "Ineligible." When an account is "Ineligible" it has yet to reach the required 60 days active to be eligible, or it was canceled before it reached that date.

After the account has been active for 60 days the status will change to "Eligible" at the end of that month. The reason the sale must wait until the end of the month before it can change to "Eligible" is so we can properly calculate which payment tier the sale is to be paid on, based on other sales that reach the 60 day mark within the same month.

How to get paid once your sales are eligible

We offer two ways to receive payment; you can either be paid via PayPal or as account credit towards a DiscountASP.NET Hosting, Team Foundation Server, or Everleap Hosting account.

When your accounts are listed as "Eligible" you can request payment for these accounts via the "Payment" tab in your Affiliate Manager. When in the "Payment" tab, select the button marked "Payment Request". On the "Payment Request" the months with available payments will be shown with a link on the right hand side labeled "view sales". This link will allow you to see all sales associated with this payment.

Once you have verified the payments you wish to be paid for, check the payments you wish to be paid for in the "Request Payment" column and select how you wish to be paid, via PayPal or as account credit towards a DiscountASP.NET Hosting account, Team Foundation Server account, or Everleap Cloud Hosting account. If you choose account credit you will need to provide the account ID number as well as enter the password for the account as verification.

After you have selected how you wish to be paid, you can select the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page to submit your payment to our accounting department.
