Enable gzip compression in IIS

gzip compression may be enabled either directly through a web.config or by connecting to the site using IIS Manager.  Once enabled, it can be tested using an external site like checkgzipcompression.com.
If familiar with web.config updates, doDynamicCompression is set to true as in the syntax example below.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
        <urlCompression doDynamicCompression="true" />
IIS Manager
To make the update through IIS Manager, instead; connect to the site then double click the Compression module.
Click the checkbox next to "Enable dynamic content compression" then click Apply to enable gzip.
