Use this method to purchase an SSL certificate directly through DiscountASP.NET. NOTE: A RapidSSL single-domain certificate is included with the SSL Add-on.
Before You Begin: The
SSL Add-on must be enabled on your account. If not, go to
Order Addons in the control panel.
Steps
1. Open the SSL Manager
Log in to your control panel and click SSL Management under Account Management. Then click Order a Certificate.

2. Fill in Certificate Details
Enter your domain as the Common Name (e.g., domain.com). Do not enter the www. subdomain. Complete the Organization, City, State, and Country fields.

3. Fill in Contact Information
Enter your name, email, phone, and address.
4. Select a Certificate Type
Choose the certificate that fits your needs. A RapidSSL certficiate is included with teh SSL Add-on. If you prefer a different SSL certifiate type, you can select from the options below. For a wildcard cert, use *.domain.com as the Common Name.

5. Click Continue
Our system verifies your domain resolves to our servers. Review the Order Summary and Domain Control Validation information.

Domain Validation
Before an SSL certificate is issued, the Certificate Authority needs to verify your control over the domain. There are a couple of ways they handle the verification.
HTTP Validation (automatic): If your domain DNS points to our servers, the issuance and installation completes automatically.
DNS TXT Validation: If your DNS is hosted elsewhere (GoDaddy, Cloudflare, etc.), you'll receive a TXT record to add at your DNS provider. The certificate issues once DigiCert reads the record — typically within minutes of propagation.
Once issued, the certificate is installed and bound to your site automatically.
