Adding an SPF (Sender Policy Framework) record

Both Everleap and DiscountASP.NET support the ability to publish SPF records for domain names using our name servers. SPF records are published by entering the SPF policy as a DNS TXT record.

There is not a default SPF record. If you wish to add an SPF record for your domain name you can use the SPF policy wizard. The wizard will ask questions about how you want your SPF policy to operate, and ask for an IP range.

After generating the SPF record, enter it in the DNS manager in Control Panel:
  • Log in to Control Panel and go to the DNS manager
  • In the Text Record Manager, click "New"
  • Leave the domain name text box blank unless you want to setup SPF for a subdomain
  • Enter the SPF record that you generated into the TXT Data field
  • Click "Add"
For more information on SPF (Sender Policy Framework) please visit the SPF web site.

Note that we are unable to offer any technical support or troubleshooting for SPF records. Should you make updates to the TXT records, you do so at your own risk. An incorrect SPF record can prevent mail from your domain from being delivered.
